Help for the Weary

You Are Not Alone

There are times in our life when we feel no one understands what we are going through.  We can even feel like God can't understand what we're experiencing because, as silly as it sounds, He's God!  How can He understand what humans go through?  The reality is, He has experienced everything through His Son, Jesus Christ. God brought to us, in human form, a part of himself into this world. Jesus experienced more hurt and pain than any other human on this earth ever will.

Jesus knew the extensive suffering He must endure, and He did it for us, anyway.  Even in His humanness, Jesus sought The Father in The Garden of Gethsemane, praying so hard that his sweat formed in drops that were like blood.  One of the people close to Him, his disciple, betrayed him and sold him out for silver.  He was made a spectacle of, humiliated, spat upon and mocked in front of a crowd of enemies and loved ones.  Then Jesus was brutally beaten, tortured, mutilated and a crown of thorns was pressed into his head before being nailed to a cross, as people cheered on.

At one point the torture was so great, Jesus cried out to The Father, "Why have you forsaken me?"  God himself had to briefly look away from His Son when he took on all the sins of the world, before He died as the ultimate and final sacrifice.  On the third day when He rose from the dead, that act released mankind from the grip of eternal death due to our human sin.

So, YES, God and Jesus understand your pain and hurt.  You can receive eternal life, healing and freedom from sin and addiction through Christ; call to Him and He will answer you.  All He asks is that you trust and believe in Him and ask Him into your heart - giving your life to Him.

Prayer of Salvation

I believe in God the Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth.  I believe that Jesus Christ is His one and only Son, who was crucified and died for my sins.  I believe He rose from the dead;  allowing me eternal life.

Lord, Jesus, would you please come into my heart - I give my life to you.  Thank you for releasing me from all my sin and making me righteous in Christ Jesus.

Holy Spirit, please fill me with your presence.

Eternal Life

Jesus told him, "I am the way the truth and the life.  No one comes to The Father except through Me.

John 14:6

Eternal Peace

Peace I leave with you.  My peace I give to you.  I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

John 14:27

Jesus Can Relate To Us

For we do not have a high priest (Jesus) who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.  Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

Hebrews 4:15
